G87 M2 M Performance Track Pack – Coming Soon

BMW is turning up the intensity for the BMW G87 M2 with the upcoming M Performance Track Pack, expected to arrive in June/July 2026. Designed with serious driving enthusiasts in mind, this package brings motorsport-developed technology directly into a road-legal setup, sharpening handling, improving aerodynamic performance, and reducing weight in a fully integrated factory system.

BMW M Performance Parts have long represented a blend of future-focused engineering, sporty design, and uncompromising quality. With this latest development, the entry point into BMW M high-performance models – the BMW M2 – takes a significant step closer to true track-day capability.

Cotswold Hereford Parts will be among the first in the UK preparing to support availability of the Track Pack once it arrives, with stock expected around launch. As demand builds ahead of release, we’ll also be opening pre-orders soon so customers can register early interest and secure allocation.

What the M Performance Track Pack is designed for

Track days continue to grow in popularity among BMW M drivers, offering a controlled environment to explore the full performance potential of their vehicles. The M Performance Track Pack has been developed specifically for this purpose, bridging the gap between road car and circuit-focused machinery while remaining fully road legal.

The goal is simple: sharper handling, greater aerodynamic stability, and more precise control when driving at the limit.

Aerodynamic enhancements

The Track Pack introduces a carefully engineered aerodynamic package developed and tested in BMW’s wind tunnel and refined by BMW M specialists with extensive motorsport experience.

At the front, a manually adjustable splitter integrates with a front diffuser to form a single aerodynamic unit. When deployed, it significantly increases front-end downforce. This is supported by aero flicks that further enhance grip and stability, along with fixed wheel arch diffusers that optimise airflow management around the front and sides of the car. A dedicated scoop positioned under the upstream engine oil cooler improves thermal efficiency during sustained high-load driving.

At the rear, the highlight is a swan-neck wing derived directly from BMW’s M4 GT4 and GT3 customer racing programme. It features two distinct configurations: a “Street Mode”, where the wing is retracted to remain within road regulations, and a “Race Mode”, where it is moved 50mm rearward to dramatically increase aerodynamic effectiveness. The wing also offers two angle-of-attack settings, allowing further tuning of rear axle downforce depending on circuit characteristics. An integrated brake light completes the motorsport-inspired design.

Motorsport-derived suspension system

A key element of the Track Pack is the KW threaded chassis system, developed in collaboration with KW Automotive. This represents BMW’s first road-legal special motorsport damper system.

It features 4-way adjustable damping, allowing independent adjustment of rebound and compression settings for precise chassis tuning. Adjustable support bearings are included to further refine suspension geometry and responsiveness. Ride height can be lowered by up to 20mm at both the front and rear axles, with fully infinite adjustment for exact setup flexibility rather than fixed increments.

The result is a suspension system capable of adapting to a wide range of track conditions while still maintaining road usability.

Developed with BMW M motorsport expertise

Every component of the Track Pack has been developed alongside BMW M specialists, drawing on experience gained through decades of racing success. Fine-tuning and overall development were overseen by BMW M test engineers, including Jörg Weidinger, ensuring the package delivers a cohesive, balanced performance upgrade rather than isolated parts.

Combined with optional ultra-track tyres, the system forms a complete performance ecosystem designed to maximise grip, response, and driver confidence at speed.

M Performance Track Pack availability

The M Performance Track Pack is scheduled for availability from July 2026, with pricing in Germany set at approximately €23,500 plus tax (excluding installation). UK pricing and specifications will be confirmed closer to launch.

Cotswold Hereford Parts will be preparing ahead of arrival, with pre-orders opening soon to allow customers to register interest early.
